The Sunset Tour
With our brand new tour you enjoy an afternoon riding through the impressive rural surrounding of Siem Reap as well as witness a stunning and romantic Sunset from top of a hill surrounded by rice fields

This half day tour will take you outside of town where we cycle through the rice fields and small villages at the agricultural countryside.

On our way to Phnom Krom, a little Hill south of Siem Reap, you will see interesting farms, the wildlife of the countryside, have a look at a beautiful pagoda and stop at a lotus field.

Phnom Krom is located near the Tonle Sap Lake and you will experience the local life around the hill near this great lake before making our way to the top of the Hill. On top you can discover a pagoda and a very old temple giving the area a mystical atmosphere.

The highlight of this tour is the following sunset which you will experience completely on your own as sometimes we are the only visitors on top the Phnom Krom. During the wet season the sun will go down in front of an endless area of flooded rice fields, giving a breathtaking and romantic scenery.

  • from 2:30pm to 7pm on a 20 km route
  • donation from $25 to $35 pp
  • for one person only we require a donation from $40 to cover the cost of the tour
  • get to know the Cambodian countryside and experience a stunning sunset
  • comfortable return with a tuk tuk
  • mountain bike, helmet, tuk tuk transport and a big bottle of water included

Please note: for Phnom Krom a valid Angkor Park ticket is needed which is not included. Without ticket we can offer you the tour anyway, but we can’t go on top of Phnom Krom. Our alternative is a secret spot in the middle of an idyllic rice field or, in rainy season, a spot on the bottom of the hill, where you will be closer to the local people while enjoying the beautiful sunset.

Come and join us for an unforgetable sunset experience

KKO supports more than 250 students daily. All of our English and computer lessons as well as the two areas of vocational training are given for free. So of course we are always happy for somebody to give KKO and the students a leg up. We rely on donations to our project to be able to continue our work. The best way to support KKO, is to sponsor an individual student.
