Sothea is from Khnat Commune, Puok District, Siem Reap Province. He finished high School at Puok in 2004. He started his first job as a waiter in front of Angkor Wat in 2004. In 2005 he changed his workplace from in front of Angkor Wat to an restaurant at the Old Market. In 2006 he was employed as a Bartender at Prince D’Angkor Hotel&Spa. In 2008 he went back to a restaurant at the Old Market to work there as a supervisor. At the same time, he studied English at the Build Bright University in Siem Reap for 4 years from 2008-2012. Additionally he used to work as an English teacher in my village and a translator in the provincial hospital. In October 2012 when he graduated from University, he got employed as a cycling tour guide by KKO. In 2013 he started to work full time in the office and was 2014 promoted to the tour manager.
He has been feeling good working with KKO, because he can work independently and without pressure and he has holidays he never had in his previous jobs.
He works for the KKO since the very beginning in 2010. He was born in 1989 in Siem Reap and has one sister and three little brothers. Before he started to work for KKO he worked as a night guard. After that he started working as an English teacher for a different organization in Siem Reap before he started one year later to work for KKO as a mechanic teacher.
He likes working for KKO because of the KKO family feeling. His favorite tour is the Half-Day Countryside Tour.
Seng is one of our English speaking tour guides who was born and raised in Siem Reap Province. He works for KKO since February 2017 (last year). He also worked as an English teacher at Kidtea School (Kids and Teams Education Association) which is located in my hometown. He is very proud that he can support the local community and especially the KKO School with his work. His favorite tour is the Phnom Kulen Trekking Tour.
