GET AWAY FROM THE MAIN TOURIST STREETS TO LOCAL VILLAGES

If you are keen to experience what Siem Reap has to offer apart from its temples and numerous tourist attractions, this tour is just the thing for you. Our guides will lead you away from the main tourist streets to local villages and markets of the area. Enjoy a beautiful bike ride through paddy fields, get to know local farmers and learn more about the complex craft of mushroom farming.

  • 1st Stop: KKO School
    First you will visit the local school run by KKO. The school was founded in 2009 and offers free education to children from nearby villages. You will be able to see where your donations go and learn about our projects and Cambodia’s educational system.


    2nd Stop: Fish Farm
    While making our way through paddy fields and small villages you will get a clear impression of the Cambodian countryside. Experience the local lifestyle, see houses on stilts and discover a traditional fish farm.


    3rd Stop: Local Pagoda
    Getting to know how people live in the agricultural, rural surrounding of Siem Reap you will next discover a local Pagoda. Experience the beauty of the building and learn more about the religion of Buddhism which is practiced by around 95 percent of Cambodians to this day. Discover different drawings and architectural structures and to know their importance for Buddhism and the people that worship at this temple.


    4th Stop: Lotus Farm
    Our third stop will be at a lotus farm. Take a stroll over a floating bridge between beautiful pink and white lotus flowers. Find out about the special meaning of this pure and clean flower and its use in Cambodian cuisine


    5th Stop: Sunset Spot
    Finally, after enjoying the beautiful Lotus Farm, we will cycle to one of our favourite spots to watch a hopefully magnificent sunset.
    After the sunset we will cycle back to town using back road, to avoid the traffic. No worries lights are always provided!
