The Amazing Girls : Empowering Young Women in Cambodia

Gender inequality remains a significant challenge in Cambodia. Girls and women continue to face systemic barriers, making it difficult for them to access higher education or secure leadership roles. The Amazing Girls of the World Project (AG) is working to change this reality, empowering girls worldwide to break free from these limitations.

Founded in the USA, AG is an educational initiative dedicated to protecting and educating young girls living in poverty. Through a series of workshops, the program empowers young women, fostering self-confidence, courage, and compassion. AG focuses on self-awareness, emotional management, and mutual respect, providing girls with the tools to build a strong foundation for a successful and fulfilling life.

The project operates not only in Cambodia but also in several other countries across the Global South, funded by generous donors of the Amazing Girls of the World charity. This program offers a transformative opportunity for participants, complementing Cambodia’s incomplete school system by teaching essential life skills often overlooked due to traditional gender roles. The project is divided into two stages.

In the first stage, girls aged 13 to 17 learn the fundamentals of social awareness, reflective thinking, self-confidence, and values-based decision-making. They also engage in community-building activities to strengthen their surroundings. The second stage delves deeper into personal growth. Participants aged 16 to 22 explore personal development and career opportunities, equipping them with the skills to pursue their dreams.
