We are always happy to welcome international volunteers to our school. Our volunteers come from countries all over the world and take on different roles and responsibilities within our organisation. We have already worked with teachers, training professionals, business economists, filmmakers, tailors, fashion and graphic designers.
The main goal of volunteer work is to develop the skills of our Khmer staff. We believe that the exchange between staff, students and volunteers is a valuable experience for all. By developing the skills of our local team, we want to make our projects sustainable. Thanks to this approach, your volunteer work will be even more effective and our projects will progress in the long run.
We are always looking for experts and helping hands. If you are interested in volunteering at KKO, contact us. Please note that we cannot cover any costs for flights, accommodation or meals. We also work together with several organisations.
The development volunteer service ‘weltwärts’ was founded in 2008 by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). We have been hosting volunteers from Germany through ‘weltwärts’ since 2013. Every year our German partner organisation ‘Vereinigung Junger Freiwilliger’ (VJF) sends three volunteers who support us for 12 months in different areas of our organisation.
Since 2014 we have been working with AfID (Accounting for International Development). Several times a year, the organisation sends us volunteers with specialist knowledge in the areas of finance and accounting. This has enabled us to improve our accounting and financial system.
At this point we would like to express our sincere thanks to the numerous volunteers and their organisations who have supported us in the past years and became a part of the KKO Family.
HELP US TO BUILD FUTURES
Help us keep our school and educational projects running and thereby impact the lives of so many Cambodian families. Monthly giving is the best way to support our mission. With a commitment of only 10 USD a month, you enable our 6 teachers to teach 300 students in English and sewing 5 days a week. Our work would not be possible without our generous partners, donors, family members and you.
